How can I do websites?

For two days I have been searching for the ways to make my blog more attractive. Using the default templates are for all. But it requires CSS knowledge and also I think I need to study for HTML from start. Well its not possible to do that all while I am running to find a job for me. I know this could be an advantage but I want to know if it really helps to learn everything in IT.
