Rodaad-e-Safar-e-Madina

Started my journey with my family after the Asr prayer on Wednesday. I sat on the last seat in car as it has space for 7 persons. Air condition was working fine so I was relaxing till the time of Iftar. About 20 mins before stopped at a fuel station. Here in Saudi Arabia all the fuel stations have proper Masjid. So waited till the Azaan of Magreib. Broke my fast and prayed and then moved again. After this stop car started its shaking. It has some problem that it misses. I think it has water in the fuel tank. Anyway I was not driving and for about more than 1 hour I was just relaxing back. Then we stopped again at a fuel station or can say motel (istaraha) as all the fuel stations have kind of restaurants and a general store. Ate our meal and from here I was supposed to drive the car. I hit the gas and was driving around 120 KM. Suddenly check engine light came up. I had idea that it could be water shortage in engine. So stopped on another fuel station and now for about 30 mins or more were trying to understand why the light lit because the water was according to the requirements. Somehow I closed this matter and went forward in search of fuel station were we can find any mechanic. So started again and now going on low speed. After some time reached a fuel station but in between checked in the book of the car what this light is all about. Got some idea but still not confirmed why it is so. Got a mechanic and there I found the ignition is not possible anymore as the battery terminal was lose. So it was fixed again and all the computer system of car was reset and the light was gone too. So again started the journey.

Was driving on 150 KM, suddenly the color of road changed it was some road construction difference and left side front tire was sliced. It was not in that much bad condition that it can’t go for few KM. So I drove very slowly to the station where I can find tires. Before that station there was a check post, so I stopped to ask if the exit will take me there. That police man started stupidity that why my hair are long it is illegal here and there is a team of Islamic people who forbade such activities and have told him to fine such people and blah blah. Someway I tried to explain my problem then he released me. Got to the station and the tire size was different. So put spare tire on the car which was smaller than others and I hit the road again.For about 80 KM, there was no fuel station then got one and same problem no tire size. Again I was on the road and was driving at 80/90/100 KM. So after about 120 km I got a station where we have to stay to take sehri as the time was reached. Finally got the size of tire and set it up. Took the sehri and started our journey. As all the tires were proper so I step up the speed and was driving for about 150-180 km. Madina was about 150 km away. Also the time of Fajr prayer was near and were thinking to stop somewhere. I hit the gas more and in between I reached the maximum speed of 200 km of car in the way but mostly I kept in between 160-180km. Finally reached Madina and then searched for a Masjid and prayed. Now were relaxed and started to search for the hotel near Haram.

For about 7:30 am checked in to hotel and then I slept for till Asr skipping Zuhar prayer as I have all the prayers as Qasr prayers. Woke up before Asr took bath and went to Masjid Al-Haram. Said my Asr prayer and then went to visit our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). They divided the visiting area in two and it makes me sad as I was on the away section. I tried to come again but guards stopped me. So I wander around the Masjid as people were arranging for the iftar inside the Masjid. I was just looking what is available. Then before 2 hours from iftar I sat on one Dastarkhuwan and recited Quran. Then there was one Pakistan sat near me and started talking to me. I spent some time in talking and then the time of iftar came and I broke the fast and prayed later. Then was thinking to go for visit again but Papa found me and asked me to come out to eat. Went outside and took the supper in hotel and came back again for Isha prayer. But on reaching back hotel I was so tired that I was about to sleep. But that night I slept on for 1 hour. Was waking up all night till sehri. Then took sehri and went to Fajr prayer. This time I got the chance to visit our Prophet (SAW) from more near area. I said Salaam and came to the other side of Masjid to say prayer.

After prayer went to Janat Al-Bakee to say salaam to the people and especially to Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA) one of a great Sahabi. Then returned to Hotel and slept as I didn’t sleep all night. Later woke up for Jummah prayer as I was late so ran to Masjid and found a good place to say my Jummah prayer. Then returned hotel and got ready to come back to home city.

Near about 2:15 pm I started my returning journey. I relaxed back in the last seat even I slept for few minutes and that makes me fresh. Then I was getting too much bored so I open up my I pod and kept listening to the songs for few hours. There were clouds in the sky, I like clouds because most of the time they brought smile on my face. I was just watching them and was listening to some songs I am not sure about so not writing here.

The car was so much vibrating and then suddenly the light of improper inflation of tire warning come up. Checked the tires but didn’t have what was the problem. Anyhow after few miles got a fuel station and there checked the air and also set the wheels by doing wheel balance on machine. Again set to journey and now the vibration was not there. Again I was sitting and relaxing.

Near Magreib prayer I stopped on a fuel station to break my fast. This station was same where the car terminals were fixed. After Iftar again the same engine check light came up. I don’t know why it comes up when I hold the steering wheel. Anyhow checked the water again and went to the same mechanic for the problem and he said it’s just a computer problem so just reset it by removing the battery terminal and put it back again. Then the light was gone. I started my journey again and was going fine.

Then there comes a city called Buraidah where papa suggested taking dinner so I went inside and after long traveling in the city finally stopped somewhere to eat. On getting back to the highway I filled up the tank and here comes the check engine light again. After driving some miles stayed at a fuel station got fresh and fixed the problem of that check engine light by removing the battery terminal and putting back.

Then everything was fine and I finally step up the gas and hit the road on almost 150-180km speed. This is the first time I have overtake many cars even when they were on high speeds. By the grace of Allah we reached home near about 1:30 am. And my journey ends with the sehri meal and sleep.
